The Texas Department of Public Safety is scheduled to conduct a Sex Offender Registration
Training hosted by the Hutto Police Department on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
Students will be able to identify the various responsibilities for their criminal justice agency
regarding the administration of sex offender registration, which could include registering, verifying
registration, and/or analyzing compliance adherence by the registrant, according to Texas Code of
Criminal Procedure, Chapter 62. Students will be able to operate the online registry to successfully
complete their administrative tasks.

The 8-hour training session will be conducted from 8:00am to 5:00pm. There is no fee for the
training. TCOLE credit will be available, as well as certificates for those who require continuing
education hours. All will need to register with CornerStone to receive credit and a certificate.
