This is a one-day course designed to prepare the armed professional operating the ballistic shield in the field. Topics covered in this course will educate the shield operator on manipulations, carry methods, shooting positions, armor plating, and rescue techniques. The information taught in this course will increase the safety of the armed professional and their efficiency with this tool.
Experience Requirements:
Students must be Active Law Enforcement. Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training. In order to receive a certificate of completion, students will be required to demonstrate proper safe gun handling and use of a ballistic shield in any environment through 8 hours of training.
